P2422 "EVAP canister vent valve stuck closed" on 2005 Honda Pilot. Can I "un-stick" it without dealer help? - andy honda corbinfisher

He wondered whether there is a possibility that you can solve this problem on my own.

I filled tanks half a dozen times from the code so that it is not temporary.

Engine go-ahead for the first time in a car, immediately after the first snow (snow and ice on the streets of the work).

Thank you,
Andy

The most likely cause is a blocked pipe in the boat EVAP valve assembly of the vent is adapted to the vehicle frame. Most of the time a spider has built a nest in the pipe and that is the cause of obstruction. This facility is located at the front of the boat near the upper EVAP.

the valve can be removed and blowing compressed air or use an old pipe cleaner into the tube.

Nests of spiders are very common.

Hope that helps
